YA Novels

I enjoyed these novels and definitely want to use Speak in a high school classroom and Stargirl in a junior high class. I think that Stargirl is a good novel not only because of the quality of writing, but also because of the ideas represented. I think it is important for the students to be more like Stargirl and have another idea about what high school is like rather than just from the movies they watch.
