Fairy Tales Unit

I think that the stories that were my favorite and that I would like to use are the Little Red Ridding Hood stories. I think I would use them in a 6th grade classroom since some ending are unexpected and I think that middle school students would enjoy them more. I really liked how in Tatar there were a lot of stories from different cultures and maybe I can tie these fairy tales stores to different cultures around the world and how maybe different cultures affect their versions. I know that we talked about it in class but I think that having elementary students act out the fairy tales they will start to question the roles that girls and boys play. I really liked The Classic Fairy Tales book and want to use it in the future.
